Grades K-5 took an in-school field trip to the kitchen as part of their Nutrition Unit during Health class. All classes learned about personal hygeine, sanitation, safety and the nutritrional breakdwon for the meal of the day. Grades K-2 rotated through stations where they were supervised by our kitchen staff and
helped prepare yogurt, salad, fruit cups, apple sauce, carrots, baked beans and chicken patties. Grades 4 and 5 helped serve lunch to grades K-2. a big thank you goes out to Diane Palmisano, Michele Lamy, Careyann LaRose and Gloucester Food Service for making this possible. |
