Sara Swift currently on faculty at Salem State University, Boston Ballet School, and Liza Indiciani School of Dance intruduced dance as a playful and invigorating social physical activity, a creative art, its relationship to rhythm, connecting with the students' musical education, provide historical perspective on dancing by looking at various social dances through the decades including the Charleston, the Stroll, Mashed Potato, the Twist, the Roger Rabbit, ChickenNoodle Soup, and "line dances like Macarena and Cotton Eye Joes. The Gloucester Education Foundation has sponsored this wonderful opportunity for our students.
